Brisbane Beaches

Located as it is between Australia's Gold Coast and its Sunshine Coast, Brisbane is world famous for its incredible number of absolutely fantastic beaches. While there are many spectacular options within an easy driving distance, there are also some very excellent choices within or right outside of Brisbane itself. If you come to this lively city, be sure to spend some time at a couple of these great beaches.

Brisbane Bridge One of the most popular beaches at Brisbane is the Nudgee Beach. Featuring wonderfully scenic vistas across Moreton Bay, and with a very pleasing selection of wildlife which includes many stunning bird species, Nudgee is a natural choice for people living in or enjoying a vacation at Brisbane. Popular activities at this beach include swimming, laying out in the sun, bicycling, jogging and just strolling along. Make sure to also bring your camera if you come to this beach, since there's always something fun going on and there are great views to remember.

Sandgate Beach is another great beach that is located right in Brisbane. This one has something a little different to offer visitors; there is a seaside resort here, and many great walking trails. Many quaint and eclectic shops are located at Sandgate, as well as some excellent dining options. If you want to have a beach experience, and easily make a day out of it, Sandgate just might be the best place to do just that in Brisbane.

If you would like to have a small excursion while in Brisbane, head over to the Sunshine Coast attraction of Noosa National Park. The beaches at this park run the gamut, and include some stellar surfing opportunies. There are also some wonderfully secluded and private options, for people who want a little peace and quiet for their day at the beach. Beautiful and serene, Noosa National Park and its beaches are truly out of this world.

One of the most splendid and naturally pristine beaches along the Sunshine Coast is Coolum Beach, and if you want to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to the Sunshine Coast, you absolutely must check it out. Coolum Beach is particularly popular with families with children, and is an excellent place for beach sports. It is also a very easy drive from Brisbane.
